Our rescued alpaca family came from a living hell a few years ago after we found 44 emaciated alpacas living in a paddock with 55 dead alpacas who had starved to death. Before you ask… yes it was reported to the Rspca and Dpipwe. They fined the owner $125 for failing to bury dead animals. They did not lay cruelty charges. This job is very sad and frustrating much of the time. We found beautiful homes for the animals once they were back in good health and a small number stayed with us as resident
