Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers arrested a confirmed Gulf Cartel member in Starr Co. this week as part of a joint operation under Operation Lone Star with the United States Border Patrol. On Tuesday, Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in Rio Grande City. The driver refused to stop, and a high-speed vehicle pursuit began.
